A dog has been shot dead by police after a man was seriously injured at a house in Derby.
They were called to the address in Cameron Road on Saturday morning.
Derbyshire Constabulary said the animal ‘was presenting a risk to officers and the public was shot and killed by firearms officers’.
Another man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Several roads remain closed.
A police spokesperson added: ‘There is no ongoing risk to the public and officers will remain in the area as the investigation into the incident continues.’
