Cliff Notes – Arc Raiders free open beta is live now across PS5 and Xbox

    • Open Beta Availability: The Arc Raiders open beta, titled Server Slam, is accessible for free from October 17 to October 19, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

    • Gameplay Features: Players can engage in PvPvE raids on a single map, Dam Battlegrounds, facing hostile robots and competing teams while completing quests for rewards.

    • Progress and Pricing: Progress from the beta will not carry over to the final game, which is set to launch as a premium title priced at £32.99 on October 30, 2025.

    A weekend raid (Embark Studios)

One of the most promising shooters of the year, Arc Raiders, is running an open beta this weekend, ahead of its launch later this month.

While people might be arguing over who will reign supreme between Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6, another shooter might eclipse them both in terms of quality.

Developed by The Finals creators Embark Studios, Arc Raiders is a third-person extraction shooter where you team up with up to three players in PvPvE raids for loot against hostile robots and opposing teams.

There have been several public playtests, with many touting as a rival to Bungie’s Marathon (before that was indefinitely delayed). However, if you haven’t yet given Arc Raiders a spin, you have one more chance before it launches on October 30, 2025.

When does the Arc Raiders Server Slam open beta end?

The final Arc Raiders beta, titled Server Slam, is officially live now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store).

The Server Slam will run from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19. It’s unclear what time the beta will conclude, but reports suggest it will run until 4pm BST in the UK.

How can I get access to the Arc Raiders Server Slam?

Anyone is able to join the Arc Raiders open beta for free. You can download it from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store.

As it is an online shooter, you will need an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription on console to play.

What is in the Arc Raiders Server Slam?

There will be one map available in the beta titled Dam Battlegrounds, which Embark Studios has teased will feature electromagnetic storms and night raids in ‘special conditions’.

You’ll be able to take on quests through the Traders Of Speranza, who will reward you with some early weapons and gear, along with blueprints you can use to modify equipment. The Raider Deck functionality will also be live, which grants players extra rewards via various challenges.

Will progress carry over to the final game?

No, none of your progress in the Server Slam will carry over. However, if you take part, you’ll receive an exclusive backpack cosmetic, titled The Server Slammer, when the game launches on October 30, 2025.

While Arc Raiders was initially a free-to-play title, it is now a premium game which will be priced at £32.99 when it launches.
