Top Twitch streamer Amouranth has shared some concerning news regarding her health, forcing her to pull the plug on her upcoming boxing match.
In line with the current influencer boxing craze, popular streamer Amouranth was all set to make her debut in the sport but has had to cancel her appearance.
Usually tight-lipped about details of her personal life – fans only discovered she was married years later – the streamer felt compelled to provide an explanation.
Via a series of tweets, Amouranth shared her diagnosis of late-stage ovarian failure, and how it might impact her near future commitments.
She said that she was informed in March of the condition, where the ovaries lose their normal function before the age of 40 – Amouranth is only 29 years old.
The Twitch star admitted she noticed a number of confusing physical and mental symptoms over the past year, but she just shrugged them off as not important.
It wasn’t until Amouranth recently underwent a series of tests and procedures that her doctors found out she has late-stage ovarian failure, and that her case is sadly progressing at an accelerated pace.
The streamer stated she was informed about the severity of her diagnosis after she had already agreed to participate in the La Velada boxing event.
Initially, her plan was to start treatment after the event, aiming to compete and push through any unexpected symptoms that may arise.
However, due to ‘extreme medical developments,’ the streamer now finds herself needing to begin the treatment immediately, which involves daily injections for up to two weeks.
She apologised to her fans and to anyone she’s ‘let down’ and said she hopes she might be able to enter the boxing ring next year if all goes well.
Hopefully, Amouranth will have a swift recovery and she’ll be able to resume her daily activities as normal.
