Alex Reid’s fiancee Nikki Manashe has shared news about her unborn twins and offered fans an update about her ‘miracle’ boys on Wednesday.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, 47, and Nikki are eagerly awaiting the arrival of twins after undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) – in which the female’s egg is fertilised in a lab.
A difficult journey so far, Nikki’s waters broke early at just 18 weeks and she has been monitored closely since then, keeping her followers in the loop as her pregnancy continues.
Posting a post-it note cartoon with the word ‘updates’ scrawled across it, she virtually chatted with fans and revealed some devastating news on her Instagram account.
In a lengthy caption, the star’s other half outlined how the twins were coping in her womb and admitted things had taken a worrying turn.
She penned online: ‘Ok so here it goes….

‘Everything was going so well after my waters broke at 18 weeks. Every week I’ve been monitored and so have my boys, waters have been normal level but yesterday we had some bad news.
‘Twin 1 who’s waters broke is losing water again and he’s very small in comparison to his brother. My movement is decreasing both babies are head down ready for birth so I have 4 legs kicking my rib cage [sic].’
She continued sharing the heartbreaking update: ‘I’m not sure who is who but movement is a little less.
‘Doctors want me back in hospital today for extra monitoring and it looks like my c section is being bought forward. They have said if nothing improves soon then we need to intervene and get them out.
‘Please have my boys in your thoughts today. Im so proud of them for making it to this gestation and I feel a lot safer knowing that the twins lungs have developed.
‘They are literally miracles and I was told yesterday by a midwife that in all her years of working she has never seen a case like me and my boys make it this far.
‘Having the love and support from all of you near and far has helped us all x [sic].’

Her post came after Alex released his own statement four days ago on Instagram with an excited caption that read: ‘In a few weeks I’m going to be a father to twin boys!!!!
‘Hospital bags are packed as we are officially on watch!!! I will know more next week [sic].’
