Matches made in heaven don’t get much better than tea and biscuits.
But Aldi has turned this dreamy combination on its head… by creating a tea that now tastes like biscuits.
The supermarket has just unveiled a new range of teas that remind us of our favourite baked goods.
And, as a result, these new drinks ensure you’re not left with soggy biscuit pieces at the bottom of your mug – just the great taste of the two components.
Perhaps one of the most exciting ones is the Diplomat Jaffa Tea, which offers rich chocolate and zesty orange flavours – and is supposed to taste just like a Jaffa Cake.
Elsewhere there’s the Diplomat Salted Caramel Tea which will give you a sweet and salty twist on your cuppa.
Whereas for traditionalists, there’s the Diplomat Biscuit Tea, which gives a classic malty biscuit taste.
These new teas will land in stores on May 15, at £1.49 for 40 bags.
They can also be enjoyed on their own, or with the addition of milk.
However, while we love a humble cuppa, new research has found Britain has become a nation of coffee drinkers – with more than half now preferring it to a builder’s brew.
Perhaps these biscuit-flavoured teas will turn things around.
