All Elite Wrestling star ‘Hangman’ Adam Page has suffered a concussion and had to be stretchered out of the ring in the main event of Dynamite.

On Wednesday night, Page was left legitimately motionless after a clothesline from AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, with ringside physician Doc Samson getting in the ring and immediately ending the match.

The 31-year-old wrestler was rushed to hospital, and AEW has since released a statement confirming the extent of his injury.

They said: ‘Hangman Adam Page was taken tonight by medical personnel to a Cincinnati trauma center and diagnosed with a concussion.

‘He was discharged, but will remain in AEW’s concussion protocol.

‘AEW and Hangman Page are grateful for the exemplary response and care of staff and local medical personnel and are appreciative of the love and support of fans everywhere.’

AEW commentator Tony Schiavone had tweeted after the injury: ‘Prayers to #hangman. A great person and performer who will all hope and are confident will be back in the ring soon.’

After the update, he added: ‘Good news!’

‘Praying for Hangman,’ wrote WWE star Big E, who suffered a broken neck due to an in-ring accident earlier this year.

Wrestling veteran Dustin Rhodes, formerly known as Goldust in WWE, offered ‘prayers’ in a simple tweet, while AEW’s MJF added: ‘Prayers for Hangman.’

Meanwhile, former WWE superstar Chris Nowinski praised both referee Paul Turner for immediately noticing something was wrong, and Sampson for getting into the ring ‘in seconds’.

He tweeted: ‘Sending positive thoughts to Hangman. This was not a high risk move. Something went wrong. Ref Paul Turner is trained to recognize a #concussion or a possible neck injury & stopped match.

‘@DocSampson13 was ringside & there in seconds, gives us the best chance for a good outcome.’
