AEW Collision has arrived and CM Punk looks to making sure the new show is already must watch television.
The WWE legend made his All Elite Wrestling return on the premiere of the promotion’s new Saturday night show and right from the get-go he didn’t hold back in front of a hometown Chicago crowd.
After nine months away due to injury, Punk had his boots hanging around his neck and voiced his admiration for the fans, while taking aim at his critics.
He pointed out some people hate him just because of who he is, and insisted he is the truth and the truth can be scary.
He also insisted the Warner Bros CEO calls him ‘One Bill Phil’ because he’s the genuine article amid ‘counterfeit bucks’, which appeared to be a pointed nod to the Young Bucks following the dramatic events at All Out in September.
Punk addressed those who ‘wanted an apology’, instead saying sorry that they were softer than their favourite wrestlers.

In the main event, he came out with real life friends FTR, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, to take on longtime rival Samoa Joe and Bullet Club duo Juice Robinson and Jay White.
Bell to bell, they held the crowd every step of the way and delivered a fantastic main event, with Punk used in just the right way for his first match in so long.

In the end, the Shatter Machine and GTS on Robinson gave CMFTR the win to make sure AEW Collision has debuted with a bang.
Earlier, the first match of the night saw Christian help Luchasaurus to victory over Wardlow, becoming TNT Champion in the process although it was the WWE legend who held up the title after the bell.
Andrade El Idolo was back on AEW TV and used wife Charlotte Flair’s Figure Eight leg lock to pick up the win against Buddy Matthews in a brilliant bout, while Miro also made a comeback to score a dominant victory over Tony Nese.
