The Last Leg host Adam Hills has shared the news that his long-running show is being cut down with a truly brilliant one-liner.
The Australian comedian, 52, has fronted the programme since its launch alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Co-hosted by Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, it gives a review of the week’s events and has also carried out the important public service of awarding mock prize Dick of the Year to a public figure annually.
But this week it was revealed that its broadcaster, Channel 4, was in the process of cost-cutting, with The Last Leg one of the shows on the chopping block.
While it will continue to run, the next season is reported to have been cut from nine episodes to seven.
Despite the news, Adam has seemingly taken it in his stride.

Sharing a post on Twitter that discussed the cut, he joked that: ‘I mean, if ever there’s a show that can cope with losing a few bits, it’s ours.’
For those not aware, Adam has previously described his show as ‘three guys with four legs talking about the week’, because he was born without a right foot and Alex had his right leg amputated when he was a baby.
The Last Leg has aired on Friday evenings on Channel 4 since 2012.
It’s 28th season is set to air later this month.

The last season had plenty of headline-grabbing moments, which included Adam making good on a promise to light a flare from his bum if he lost a bet.
In December’s season finale he stuck the flare into his backside after making a bet with Josh and Alex that Australia would make it further in the World Cup than England.
As we all know, Australia missed out on making the quarter finals, while England got a bit further.
During the episode, Adam explained it was ‘time to make good on a wager’ and needed to ‘end the show in true English tradition’, an act inspired by Charlie Perry, a roofer from Sunbury-on-Thames who became known as the ‘Arse Flare Man’ after pictures of him went viral in 2021 during the build up to the Euros final match between England and Italy.
The Last Leg is streaming on All4.
