Active shooter at large after two police German officers shot dead – hitchhiker warning
The Daily Express: People in the area have been urged not to pick up hitchhikers, as one of the suspects is believed to be armed. Two officers, a male and a female aged 29 and 24, were killed. Reinforcements arrived at the scene after gunshots were reported but it was too late to save the officers.
There are currently believed to be “several perpetrators” on the run.
The officers were shot dead during a routine patrol in the Rhineland-Palatine district in Germany.
