The i Sport – Top of the pile: Liverpool leads Premier League
The back page of the i newspaper reports on the weekend’s Premier League action as Liverpool gain the title race advantage. The paper says Liverpool are at the top of the pile following their 2-1 win over Brighton and City’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal.
The back page also reports on the Women’s League Cup after Arsenal claimed the title. The match saw an Arsenal player collapse on the pitch causing concern for many in the stadium and watching on TV. Arsenal have since confirmed Frida Maanum is conscious, talking and in a stable condition. Elsewhere, Emma Hayes’ comments about male aggression – a dig at Arsenal boss Eidavell – also make the back page. Hayes was seen shoving Eidavell at the end of the game, despite her comments.
