Get you up to speed: Israel conducts military operations in Iran and Lebanon amid ongoing conflict

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated during a press conference that the government restrictions on activity will be lifted as soon as possible. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that they had ‘eliminated’ two senior Iranian intelligence officials and struck the primary research centre of the Iranian Space Agency.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed to pursue and kill Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to him as a “child-killer”, according to IRNA news agency. This declaration followed the Israeli Defence Forces’ reported elimination of two senior Iranian intelligence officials and strikes on key Iranian military sites.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that government restrictions will be lifted as soon as possible, while the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of two senior Iranian intelligence officials and strikes on critical Iranian facilities. Additionally, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has vowed to pursue Netanyahu, calling him a “child-killer,” amid ongoing military operations related to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

Netanyahu tries to laugh off rumours of his death amid ‘coffeegate’ fallout | News World

He also tries to joke about his demise using a common Hebrew phrase that roughly translates to loving something to death.

‘I love my nation to death,’ he says, ‘and how they are conducting themselves.’

He holds up his 10 fingers to the camera, dispelling rumours confirmed by Grok, that his latest conference was actually an AI version of him.

He also promised Israelis that the government restrictions on activity will be lifted as soon as possible.

‘Your support is amazing—it empowers me, the government, the IDF’, he said.

‘We’re doing things I can’t share now, but very strong operations in Iran & Lebanon today too.

‘To everyone: keep following Home Front Command orders at all times.

‘Even heads of state—star always near a protected room. We’ll do our best.’

He jokes: ‘Thanks for the coffee. I don’t know about calories… this looks dangerous for me’.

    Coffeegate

Others insist that Netanyahu’s sleeve gets pulled down by itself to expose his arm and the strange behaviour of a man in the background.

Some speculated that the strange lighting on Netanyahu’s face was being used to hide masking techniques.

‘Signs like static coffee level, unnatural lip sync, and casual talk of ops confirm it’s fake.’

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard vows to ‘pursue and kill child-killer’ Netanyahu

Tehran on Sunday promised to kill Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the U.S.-Israel war on Iran continued to threaten oil supplies in the Gulf.

‘IRGC vows to pursue and kill ‘child-killer’ Netanyahu if he is still alive,’ Iran’s IRNA news agency said in a post on X, referring to the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

It came after the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said they had ‘eliminated’ two senior Iranian intelligence officials of the ‘Khatam al-Anbiya’ Emergency Command.

They added that it had struck the primary research centre of the Iranian Space Agency and an aerial defence system production factory.

Why did people think Netanyahu might be dead?

After it emerged that Netanyahu was alive and well, several users quickly dismissed the clip as a poorly made AI deepfake.

Analysts explained the widely shared screenshot had been frozen in a way that appeared to show an additional finger at what was actually the edge of Netanyahu’s hand.

A closer look at the leader’s raised hand shows he had just four fingers and a thumb – in line with the vast majority of people.

The clip is just the latest example of how fast misinformation spreads online during times of conflict and uncertainty.

Trump says he will strike Iran’s Kharg Island ‘just for fun’

Donald Trump threatened more strikes on Iran’s main oil export hub Kharg Island.

With the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran in its third week, Trump said U.S. strikes had ‘totally demolished’ much of the island and warned of more, telling ‌NBC News on Saturday, ‘We may hit it a few more times just for fun.’

The comments marked a sharp escalation from Trump, who had previously said the US was targeting only military sites on Kharg, and dealt a blow to diplomatic efforts to end a war that has spread across the Middle East and killed more than 2,000 people, most in Iran and Lebanon.

Trump called on countries that have been impacted by the choking off of oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz to join efforts to reopen shipping lanes.
