Kim Jong-Un and his teenage daughter went on a date in North Korea together to fire new pistols in a munitions factory.
Photos released by state media showed the dictator and his teenage daughter, Kim Ju-ae, closing one eye as they fired the firearms.
During an inspection of a light munitions factory, Kim Jong Un shot the gun as he pushed to modernise conventional forces after years of focus on nuclear weapons.
North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said Kim visited a factory producing pistols and other light arms a day earlier and reviewed a new pistol that recently entered production.
After testing the weapon at a shooting range, Kim rated it ‘excellent’, the agency said.
The agency did not mention the presence of Kim’s daughter in its text report but its photos showed her firing a pistol along with senior military officials.
Until a few years ago, the young teenager was kept out of the public eye, but has recently been attending high-profile events with her dictator father.

The entire family of Kim Jong-un is secretive, and there is still speculation about how many children he and his wife, Ko Yong-hui, have together.
It is reported that Kim Ju-ae is the middle child of three. She is believed to be around the age of 13 or 14, but her birthday isn’t known.
Her first public appearance in Western media was in November 2022 when she was pictured accompanying her father during an inspection of the launch of the country’s largest ballistic missile, a Hwasong-17 intercontinental.
Before that, Kim Ju-ae’s existence had never been confirmed.
Her recently public profile could be an indication that the teenager will later become a leader and present the Kim family in the style of a monarchy.

In September, the dictator and his daughter appeared in China’s capital of Beijing for the military parade in Tiananmen Square.
Ju-ae stood close to her father as he was greeted by Chinese officials, according to photos released by North Korean state media.
It was the first known international appearance by the girl, who has attended multiple weapons tests in North Korea alongside her father.
In fact, Ju-ae was first introduced into the world when she accompanied him to the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
But it was the former American NBA star Dennis Rodman who first slipped up about her existence after travelling to the reclusive nation.
According to Rodman, during his 2013 visit to Pyongyang, Kim introduced him to his wife Ri Sol Ju and a baby girl, saying ‘that’s my daughter.’
