Gabby Logan is the latest presenter to sign up for the 2025 Women’s Football Awards

The 2025 Women’s Football Awards has today announced that broadcaster Gabby Logan will be joining the hosting line-up for the event this May, marking a new addition to the prestigious ceremony.

The event, Europe’s largest awards celebration for women’s football, has partnered with Metro for a third year running to recognise all levels of the game once again – from grassroots talent to the organisations and brands supporting its rise, to the superstar players lighting up the pitch.

Gabby Logan, a leading figure in sports broadcasting, will take the stage as the host for the evening, bringing her signature energy and expertise to the celebration.

She will be joined by fellow presenters including football legend Jamie Carragher and former Lioness Eni Aluko, both of whom will lend their voices to the night, sharing their insights on the growth and impact of women’s football.

‘I am absolutely  thrilled to be hosting the 2025 Women’s Football Awards in May,’ said Gabby Logan. ‘This event continues to grow year after year, shining a well-deserved spotlight on the star athletes, dedicated teams, and organisations that are driving the extraordinary rise of women’s football.

‘The impact of women’s football has never been greater and I’m looking forward to celebrating all of the inspirational nominees and winners at the ceremony.’

The 2025 Women’s Football Awards will honour the outstanding contributions to the sport, from individuals and teams to the forward-thinking brands and partners who are helping to shape the future of women’s football. With the rise of the women’s game across Europe, this year’s awards will celebrate the achievements that have elevated the sport to new heights, inspiring future generations.

Previous Women’s Football Awards winners include standout players such as Alessia Russo, who played a key role in England’s 2022 Euro triumph; Keira Walsh, a midfield powerhouse for both Chelsea and England; Lauren James, known for her exciting flair and skill; and Missy Bo Kearns, a rising star in the Women’s Super League.

Premier League icons have supported the awards

Premier League icons like Declan Rice, Harry Kane, and Tyrone Mings have also supported the awards, helping to raise the profile of women’s football and promote its continued growth.

‘I’m looking forward to joining Gabby and Eni for the 2025 Women’s Football Awards,’ said Jamie Carragher. ‘The growth of women’s football is undeniable, and it’s inspiring to see more talent, passion, and opportunity than ever before.’

Supported by Shein, VISA, Morrisons, and the Premier League, the 2025 ceremony promises to be a night to remember. The awards will showcase a diverse range of categories, recognising excellence in all areas of the women’s football ecosystem.

The anticipated shortlist for the 2025 Women’s Football Awards will be revealed on 11 March 2025.
