Jay-Z accused of raping 13-year-old girl alongside P Diddy
American rapper Jay Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside P Diddy at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
The accuser, identified as “Jane Doe”, had initially only named Diddy but the federal lawsuit was refiled on Sunday in New York to add Jay Z.
According to the lawsuit, Doe was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall during the VMAs by a friend. Without a ticket, she reportedly approached limousine drivers in an attempt to gain access to the event or an afterparty.
One of the drivers allegedly claimed to work for P Diddy, telling Doe that she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” Later, the driver reportedly picked her up and drove her to a white house with a U-shaped driveway. Upon arrival, Doe says she was asked to sign a document she believed to be a non-disclosure agreement.
Doe alleges that she was offered a drink, which left her feeling “woozy, lightheaded, and needing to lie down.” Shortly thereafter, according to the suit, P Diddy and Jay-Z entered the room. P. Diddy allegedly told her, “You are ready to party.”
The lawsuit claims Jay-Z forcibly removed Doe’s clothes and raped her while P Diddy and an unnamed female celebrity watched. She also alleges that P Diddy assaulted her as Jay-Z and the woman observed. Following the attack, Doe says she fled the scene, grabbing her clothes and running to a nearby gas station where she called her father.
