The weekend is almost here and tens of thousands of Londoners are ready to make the most of it – despite the Arctic weather forecast.

For many, it will involve travelling on the London Underground and the newly named Overground – maybe to a market in another borough or visiting friends.

However, if you are planning to jump on the Tube this weekend, make sure to check out whether your line is affected by planned closures on the TfL network.

Works will take place across the Elizabeth line, London Overground, some Tube lines, the DLR and the tram.

Here is a list of the planned closures announced by TfL.

    Saturday, November 23

Elizabeth line – From 9pm, a reduced service will run between Paddington and Heathrow (all terminals) and Maidenhead. Two trains an hour will serve the Acton Main Line, Hanwell and Heathrow Terminal 4

Piccadilly line – No service between Hammersmith and Cockfosters between 1am and 2.30am. Night Bus route N91 operates between Holborn and Cockfosters

Overground – No service between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction, and trains will be diverted to and from Battersea Park for connecting trains to and from Clapham Junction

DLR – No service between Prince Regent and Beckton. Replacement bus DLR2 operates between Prince Regent and Gallions Reach via Royal Albert, Beckton Park, Cyprus and Beckton

    Sunday, November 24

Elizabeth line – No service between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 and Slough until 11.15am. From then on, a reduced service will operate between Paddington, Heathrow and Maidenhead

Piccadilly line – From 2.30am on Sunday night and all day on Sunday there is no service between Hammersmith and King’s Cross St Pancras

    Overground

No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction and Battersea Park.

Until 10.15am, no service between Liverpool Street and Enfield Town and Cheshunt

No service between Liverpool Street and Chingford until 2.15pm

No service between Camden Road and Stratford from 10.15pm

Some Stratford to Richmond and Clapham Junction services in the morning will start from Willesden Junction

No service between Kilburn High Road and Euston until 12pm and after 8.30pm

No service between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside until 1.15pm

No service between Woodgrange Park and Barking Riverside from 1.15pm

DLR – No service between Prince Regent and Beckton, but replacement buses operate
