US issues warning to Israel over Gaza aid amid humanitarian crisis
The United States has pressed Israel to take immediate action to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, warning that aid flow must increase by November 12 or risk a reduction in American military support. According to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Israel needs to match its commitments with action, as conditions on the ground remain dire.
Deadly Isreali strike killed more than 110 Palestinians in Beit Lahiya
Another deadly Israeli strike killed more than 110 Palestinians in Beit Lahiya. An attack the United States called “horrifying”. For the United States to comment against Israel would sum up the devastation Israel has caused in its latest deadly strike on Palestinian civilians.
US State Department officials have identified nearly 500 potential incidents during the genocide in Gaza of civilian harm during Israel’s war in Gaza involving US-supplied weapons.
Hamas rejects short-term Gaza truce
According to AFP news agency, a senior Hamas official says the group has rejected a proposed short-term halt and insists on a last ceasefire.
“The idea of a temporary pause in the war, only to resume aggression later, is something we have already expressed our position on. Hamas supports a permanent end to the war, not a temporary one,” Taher al-Nunu, a senior leader of the movement, told AFP.
Mediators seeking to broker a Gaza ceasefire are expected to propose a truce of “less than a month” to Hamas, a source with knowledge of the talks told AFP on Wednesday.
Israel strikes Syrian town near Lebanon border
SANA – Syrian State News Agency – said Israel hit a number of residential buildings in the area of Qusayr in the southern countryside of Homs province in central Syria.
SANA said the attack caused “material damage” to the industrial zone of Qusayr and some of the city’s residential neighbourhoods.
Germany, France, UK call for renewal of Israeli-Palestinian banking services
Germany, France and the UK have called for an urgent renewal of correspondent banking services between Israel and the Palestinian territory for at least one year.
“Failure to renew would suspend cross-border trade and be catastrophic for the Palestinian economy,” the German Foreign Office said in a post on X.
