Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2024 video game bargains – 50% off and more

There’s a major Prime sale going on at Amazon this week and it includes big discounts on recent games and hardware.
Black Friday is still more than a month away but if you’re impatient for some bargains then Amazon has another two-day sale underway, similar to the Prime Day event from earlier in the year.
Some of the deals require you to have an Amazon Prime subscription to take advantage of them but most are available even without it (plus, there’s a promotion for a week of Prime for 99p – if you haven’t taken advantage of a similar deal recently).
We’ve made a list of the more obvious gaming bargains below but to be honest it’s a slightly disappointing list, with no recent titles getting an early discount – even ones that are known to have underperformed, like Star Wars Outlaws.
However, some deals are better than they seem as while something like the (excellent) Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope is listed as only 19% off that’s on top of previous discounts and it’s now practically being given away.
It’s even worse in terms of discounts for consoles. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are £20 off but that’s it and that’s not even part of the Big Deal Days promotion. (Oddly, there’s very few notable Xbox games either.)
There are also some deals on the Nintendo Switch, but only for refurbished (or renewed as Amazon calls it) second-hand consoles. If you’re interested though here’s the links for the original version, the OLED Model, and the Switch Lite in Blue, Coral, and Turquoise.
The Big Deal Days lasts until Wednesday, October 9 so it is possible new deals will be unveiled then, but probably not anything substantial. We’ll keep an eye on it though and let you know if anything changes.
