The Sun – Oasis reunion: Three Here Now

    August 28, 2024

Original Oasis bandmember Bonehead will rejoin Noel and Liam Gallagher for their reunion tour next year, The Sun reports. The paper says “as the brothers make up after a 15-year feud, the X/Twitter video ended with them laughing, joking — and the peck on the lips.”

Elsewhere, the front splash picks up on Sir Keir Starmer’s speech in the Downing Street Rose Garden yesterday warning of ‘painful decisions’ to be made in the Autumn budget.

Oasis will announce MORE tour dates as Bonehead is confirmed to join Noel and Liam Gallagher on the road

OASIS announced their epic comeback yesterday with a cheeky clip of Noel and Liam Gallagher kissing.

Guitarist Bonehead is also seen in the 90-second video of past gigs — and it was confirmed he will join the band’s hugely anticipated 14-date tour.

As the brothers make up after a 15-year feud, the X/Twitter video ended with them laughing, joking — and the peck on the lips.

A note added: “The guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the great wait is over. Come see.”

Tickets for the shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin go on sale on Saturday morning.

None will be televised, the band revealed yesterday.

Budget will be ‘painful’ with millions facing tax rises as Starmer warns ‘things WILL get worse before they get better’

BRITS will suffer from an onslaught of “painful” decisions at the Autumn Budget, Sir Keir Starmer warned today.

In a major speech the PM laid the ground for sweeping tax raids as he insisted that households must endure “short term pain” for the “long term good” of the economy.

Speaking from the sun-soaked No10 Rose Garden, the PM argued that “things are worse than we ever imagined”.

Sir Keir said: “There is a Budget coming in October, and it’s going to be painful.

“We have no other choice, given the situation that we’re in.

“Those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heavier burden, and that’s why we’re cracking down on non-doms.”

‘Starmer sets stage for tax rises’ & ‘Lays groundwork for softer Brexit’ - Paper Talk

    Editorial 28 August 2024.

Almost all of Wednesday’s front pages cover Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s speech in the rose garden at Downing Street, where he warned the public that the October budget would be “painful” as they need to plug a £22bn “black hole” in public finances.

Other papers lead on Starmer’s trip to Europe where the British prime minister aims to ‘reset’ relations and turn a corner on Brexit. “We must turn a corner on Brexit and fix the broken relationships left behind by the previous government,” he said.

News of the Oasis reunion tour is featured on the front page of most newspapers, as the band announced they will tour the UK and Ireland in  2025.
