The quiet neighborhood of Hyattsville, Maryland was rocked by a brazen daylight murder last week, as 30-year-old garbage collector Idongesit Udosen was shot and killed in broad daylight. The Prince George’s County Police Department released photos of the suspects and the car involved in the heinous crime, appealing to the public for information.
Udosen was found in the roadway on Greenvale Parkway, suffering from gunshot wounds, and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The suspects, who have yet to be identified, were captured on video exiting a gray Kia sedan and shooting at Udosen before fleeing the area.
While the motive for the shooting remains unclear, detectives do not believe it was a random act of violence. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for Udosen’s senseless murder.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information, and tips can be called in to the Prince George’s County Homicide Unit or anonymously to Crime Solvers. The community is urged to stand together in seeking justice for Udosen and bringing his killers to justice.
