Al Pacino, 83, under fire for ‘chaotic’ blunder while reading out best picture Oscar winner
And the Oscar for most anticlimactic best picture reveal ever goes to… Al Pacino, and viewers aren’t being very forgiving.
The big screen legend was tasked with handing out one of the most prestigious awards of the night as the 2024 Oscars, which were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, came to a end.
However, as far as viewers are concerned, he ‘ruined’ the night with his presentation with one person even suggesting he should receive a special Golden Raspberry prize for the awkward moment.
Walking out on stage to rapturous applause, the 83-year-old American film star clutched the all-important envelope containing the winner of best picture, for which the nominees were Oppenheimer, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, and Past Lives.
