Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) find themselves injured next week in Coronation Street after two mishaps.

It looks as though Kirk may need to take some time off from his job at Underworld, as upcoming episodes will see him sprain his ankle.

After the incident, Carla (Alison King) will order Simon (Alex Bain) to take the van out and do the delivery instead, but he refuses.

Hungover and struggling after Peter’s (Chris Gascoyne) departure, Simon’s behaviour is picked up on by Beth (Lisa George), who reckons he’s just getting special treatment.

But with Simon refusing the delivery and Kirk injured, what will Carla do?

Elsewhere, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) pops by the flower shop flat and finds Billy prostrate on the sofa.

He explains he put his back out while helping Paul (Peter Ash) out of the bath, and reveals that only happened due to Moses (Michael Fatogun) running late.

Later, on the street, a stressed Moses explains to new friend Todd (Gareth Pierce) how overworked he is. As Todd offers him a hug, an angry Bernie watches from a distance, believing Moses is skiving.

Soon enough, poor Moses receives a call from his boss telling him he’s now been suspended.

Given the fact Billy will need to give himself time for his back to feel better, what will Moses’s suspension do to Paul and the care he needs?
