The Traitors UK has dropped a first look at the contestants taking part in season two in a tense new trailer that has left us on the edge of our seats.
Claudia Winkleman’s iconic game is returning to the BBC in just days, with 22 strangers playing for up to £120,000.
Season one took BBC viewers by storm, with Faithfuls Aaron Evans, Meryl Williams and Hannah Byczkowski taking home the cash prize after defeating the ultimate final Traitor, Wilfred Webster.
And, with a major plot twist and some changes to the challenges, the ultimate gameshow is officially back.
In the short clip, we get a first look at the new hopefuls, a handful of whom will be chosen as the Traitors, while Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia warns: ‘Welcome to the game.
‘Play it nice, you could end up six feet under.’
‘Play it dirty, and you might come out on top.’

The contestants are seen seated around the notorious roundtable, in shock and accusing each other of betrayal.
‘The Traitors are probably sat there, laughing to themselves,’ one player warns.
Another is seen being comforted with his head in his hands, while someone else yells across the room: ‘You’re a Traitor!’
And while we’ll have to wait to find out who exactly the Traitors are, there’s not long to go.

The new season will drop on BBC One in just days, on Wednesday, January 3.
This comes after Claudia teased the ‘epic’ challenges in store, despite remaining tight-lipped over what’s to come.
‘The missions this year are epic. The producers are so clever as the missions are incredibly important as it is a chance for the contestants to switch off from strategising and plotting,’ she shared.
‘They get fresh air, they run around, they work as a team. The scale this year is beyond.’

Claudia also promised there would be some ‘stand-out’ moments to come, but refused to spill the beans.
‘I can’t say anything else,’ she tormented.
We can’t wait!
The Traitors will launch on Wednesday 3rd January 9pm on BBC One, and episodes 2 and 3 will be available on iPlayer immediately after.
Going forward the show will air Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
