Bring Me The Horizon has parted ways with one of their long-time members with fans branding it the ‘worst Christmas present ever.’
The Sheffield rock icons, fronted by Drop Dead Clothing founder Oli Sykes, announced the departure of keyboardist Jordan Fish in a statement posted to their social media accounts.
‘Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish,’ the post begins.
‘We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile, we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon.
‘See you on our UK tour in January.’
The news comes after Jordan was absent from the band’s recent stint of shows in Asia.

Posting to his social media pages, musician Jordan wrote: ‘I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together.
‘I look forward to hearing what they do next and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production.’
Fans have been quick to wish Jordan well for the future, but haven’t held back sharing how gutted they are.
X user Jake Stevenson wrote: ‘F**k. Was really hoping to finally see Fish live with yall when I would finally see you live for the first time, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be, and the amazing contributions to the band lives on in the music he made with yall.’

@fynn_oder_so added: ‘I mean on the one hand it’s incredibly exciting where Fish will go on his own, he’s by far one of the most talented artists in the industry, and it’ll be interesting to see what the Band does style wise, since he was such a creative influence, but I’m kinda scared about this haha.’
@allenkirk_555 said: ‘Nooooooooo! I am incredibly sad, Totally gutted and Totally disappointed by this sad news of my favourite Jordan Fish is one my best keyboardist he has ever played, Well best of luck to him, to continue without him is very, very upsetting moment For me, so all the best to him.’
Others criticised the statement from the band, saying it is ‘not good enough’ to pay tribute to Jordan.
@Kyppersss responded: ‘Pretty dull statement for how long he has been with you guys.’
Additionally, @3rdworldsummit added: ‘Wtf bro @JordanFish86 has brought so much to bmth’s sound and production wise to the next level. Parting ways with an ig story and a tweet isn’t enough.’
Jordain joined the band in 2012 following the departure of former keyboardist and percussionist Jona Weinhofen, who also provided rhythm guitar for the group when Curtis Ward left in 2009.
The band still contains founding members Oli, Matt Kean, Lee Malia, and Matt Nichols, as well as touring rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist John Jones.
Bring Me The Horizon are one of the UK’s most successful rock bands, having been nominated for two Grammy awards for best rock song (2019) and best rock album (2020).
They’ve clinched two number one albums in the UK with 2019’s Amo and 2020’s Post Human – Survival Horror.
