Actress, Emmy winner, and icon, Sarah Paulson is an unmistakable figure in the celebrity world – or so you’d think – with this cringe fan interaction begging to differ.
In an uncomfortable video, Sarah looks visibly startled as a fan begins to tell her he loves her song Body Electric, which is by singer Lana Del Rey.
He then burst out into song as the American Horror Story legend awkwardly stood frozen staring at him before side-eyeing the camera and backing away.
Sarah then continues to sign autographs for the mass of fans waiting outside a theatre in New York where she debuted her new show Appropriate, all while he keeps singing.
Seeing the Ocean’s 8 actress move away from him to oblige other patient but excited fans, he says: ‘Oh she’s not feeling it.’
‘No I like it, I’ve just never sang that song,’ the 49-year-old politely replied as she posed for pictures with a mask on.

It’s at this moment the fan realised his mistake and asked: ‘Wait you’re not Lana Del Rey?’
‘No,’ came the response from a confused Sarah, who was at this point keeping her distance and trying to interact with other people.
The whole bizarre interaction of course wasn’t mistaken identity but a skit from Harry Daniels, a TikToker who ambushes celebrities with songs.
He captioned the video: ‘I met Lana. GUYS IM LIKE FREAKING OUT.’
Further revealing the prank, in the hashtags he included both the singer and actress’s names as the TikTok racked up 54,000 views.
The 19-year-old often does this such as when he hijacked the Jingle Bell Ball backstage, which led to Olivia Rodrigo’s security physically pushing him away.
‘This made me so embarrassed like I literally turned red😭😭😭😭,’ commented TikTok user Sam on the video.
Joey Sunny added: ‘Truly shaken by this video and song choice.’
Harry has amassed almost 200k followers with his awkward ambush videos but some feel they are a little disrespectful to the stars who are often visibly uncomfortable at the exchange.
‘The bit was funny when it was lighthearted, but this one felt kinda disrespectful???’ shared Katie on X.
Another disgruntled viewer going by rivernorush added: ‘Harry Daniels is kind of the modern day stalker sarah like how is he finding all of them .??.?’
‘Harry Daniels needs to be stopped,’ wrote user Joe after watching an interaction with Greta Gerwig.
Often Harry is invited to events, such as the IHeartRadio Jingle Bell Ball, to drum up social buzz but it’s unclear if the celebrities are ever in on the joke.
From the look on Sarah’s face, she certainly wasn’t aware or impressed.
