A Louisiana Tech University student who allegedly stabbed another student and three others on campus has been arrested.
Jacoby Johnson is accused of attacking the four victims as they left the Lambright Sports and Wellness Center shortly after 9am on Monday, the university stated.
Minutes later, campus police apprehended Johnson without incident as he fled south toward the main campus.
‘This appears to be a random act of violence,’ stated the university.
One of the four victims, a graduate student, was airlifted to Shreveport and two others were rushed to a local hospital. The graduate student was in critical condition as of 11.40am and the two other hospitalized victims were in stable condition. One of the victims refused medical treatment.
Johnson sustained injuries and was transported to Northern Louisiana Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known.
One of the four stabbing victims is a graduate student at Louisiana Tech University.
