In recent days, Big Brother fans have been feeling revved up with excitement over the prospect of a potential love triangle developing between Jordan, Matty and Henry.
While many still reckon it could come happen – despite Henry being at risk of eviction this week opposite Zak – we have bad news for all of those praying for a romantic entanglement to unfold.
To dissect the latest drama from the house, Metro.co.uk spoke to body language expert and Big Brother icon Judi James for our brand new series Big Brother’s Big Body Language, which drops every Thursday on YouTube at 6pm.
Judi looked closely at the seemingly unbreakable bond of friendship formed by Jordan and Henry in the first couple of weeks of the ITV series, as well as the somewhat affectionate and intimate interactions between Jordan and Matty in a private conversation that they shared.
In a recent scene that took place in the bedroom, Jordan was seen bowing his head in an adorable manner while speaking to Matty, as well as touching his hair and saying that he ‘intrigued’ him.
All the while, Henry was chatting with other housemates in another bed, leaving viewers uncertain as to whether he was watching Jordan and Matty in the corner of his eye.

Judi speculated whether Jordan might have had a game plan in mind to form a new connection, considering his closest ally – Henry – is at risk of elimination.
‘I noticed that Big Brother producers made a big deal of this. It was a very long scene and the way that they kept pointing the camera back to Henry’s face, it was like they were definitely building up that love triangle theme,’ she said.
‘Initially I was thinking to myself, “Jordan, you really have got a heart of glass, because there’s poor Henry that’s lovelorn and sitting there. Just because he’s been nominated, just straight off to somebody else.’
Judi pointed out that Jordan’s show of emotions was an ‘overkill display’, considering he’s not one to make how he’s feeling apparent by his facial expressions or mannerisms.
‘We got facial expressions from Jordan that we’ve not seen before, the way he bent his head and did a cute smile. He looked absolutely fascinated by Matty. It was like he found a little pet, a little cuddly creature.’
Watch Big Brother’s Big Body Language
Metro.co.uk has launched its new Big Brother’s Big Body Language series with body language expert Judi James, available to watch on our YouTube channel every Thursday from 6pm.
Considering Jordan is an intelligent individual, being a lawyer in the real world, Judi thought that perhaps he was ‘thinking ahead’ by directing his efforts towards Matty, perhaps in the hope that doing so would prompt the voting public to save Henry on eviction night.
‘Did he deliberately think that the best way to save his friend was to suddenly create a love triangle where we’ll get a thirst trap? Did he think that far? Or did he want to show that actually, if my mate Henry is not that popular, I want to do a conscious uncoupling to show that I can survive without him? I don’t want to go down with him. Was he being self protective to his own feelings? It was absolutely fascinating,’ she said.
Describing Jordan as a ‘sphinx-like enigma’, Judi admitted that she ‘wouldn’t even want to hazard a guess as to what was going on in his mind’.
‘Maybe Jordan wanted to make [Henry] jealous. It was a wonderfully intriguing scene. But Jordan definitely was putting himself out to make a point there.’
If Jordan is genuinely developing romantic feelings for Matty, does the body language expert think that it was reciprocated?
Sadly, no.
Matty previously shared with his housemates that he’s in an open relationship (Picture: ITV2)
‘He didn’t really respond particularly positively to the flirting. He was laying front down and I think just talking a lot about himself and quite pleased to have that kind of conversation. I didn’t see much in the way of what I would call reciprocal gestures,’ Judi remarked.
‘I didn’t see him reciprocate touch. I didn’t see, for instance, when his head was touched, I didn’t see any kind of, “Oh, that was nice,” or eye contact or special smiles going on.’
The reason for this, Judi thinks, is because Matty is ‘quite a self-sufficient character’, given his persona as a ‘hippie, thoughtful guy’ who’s perhaps ‘thinking on a different level to most people in the house’.
Nonetheless, Judi added that should a spark ignite between Jordan and Matty, she wouldn’t want it to happen before Henry leaves the series, if he turns out to be the housemate who has been evicted in the public vote.
‘It will be devastating if that happens before Henry leaves. I don’t mind if they carry on a bit of flirting if Henry finds out that he’s loved by the public and kept in, and then we get a little bit more flirting – I think that that could be sort of a little bit cruel but fun,’ she said.

‘But to do it now, and if that’s how Henry has his exit… so I don’t really want Matty to respond anyway, really. But no, I see Matty as too self-sufficient. He doesn’t seem to be making any huge allegiances in there and I don’t think he needs them.
‘Jordan might feel that he needs somebody if his best friend’s gone. He might need another double act, but hopefully that won’t happen.’
Ahead of Friday night’s episode of Big Brother, it was revealed that Jordan confides in Trish about his feelings regarding Matty, hinting that he could be regarding him as more than a friend.
‘I had a really good day. I think I clarified things for myself, not just Henry but with other people in the house too,’ he tells Trish.
After Trish guesses that he’s talking about Matty, she asks: ‘Crush or friendship?’ to which he replies: ‘I don’t know…’
