Cain and Moira Dingle (Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb) haven’t had the best year in Emmerdale, but it seems that things may be set to get back on track for the popular couple.
Moira has been left frustrated by Cain’s secrets and lies in recent weeks, and it became clear this week exactly what he had been up to when Moira was taken to see Aaron (Danny Miller) in the barn.
Despite the rocky road they’ve been on, actor Jeff Hordley is full of positivity for their future.
‘It’s a difficult one because of what happened last year with the whole Al thing. They’re always on shaky ground when Cain starts to lie to Moira again, but sometimes needs must.
‘I think they’ll be fine. I don’t envisage any major upset. But I think to be able to tell stories he needs to keep his DNA intact so there will be the odd… As long as it’s not a big thing like an affair, that would be the end. As long as it’s just a little white lie it’ll be fine.

Speaking of family, this year has seen Cain grow much closer to brother Caleb Milligan (William Ash), who has served as his right hand man during their plot to rescue Aaron.
Though we have seen Caleb seek revenge against the Tate side of his family, actor William Ash has assured us that his relationship with the Dingles will remain solid.

‘I think Caleb absolutely wants to have a connection with Cain and Chas (Lucy Pargeter),’ he explained.
‘He’s never had a family, being brought up in care and all that. I think he’s always been genuine. I think this relationship now is 100% on solid ground for him. He’s really happy about where they are now. He’s not got an ulterior motive at all.’
Because of their close relationship as siblings, both Cain and Caleb have been left fearing for the life of sister Chas after learning that she had been kidnapped by mutual enemy Harry (Robert Beck).
According to Will, the brothers are both ‘definitely’ frightened.

‘Because he’s got guns and stuff like that. That’s how they got involved with him, because he was using Caleb’s car firm to transport guns.
‘It’s not really Caleb’s area of expertise at all and I don’t think it’s ever impinged on Cain’s world, guns and probably drugs as well. It’s that world that he operates in.
‘He’s got much more edge, I think, than Cain and Caleb have. They’re kind of out of their depth with something like that.’
