A teenage boy has died and six others have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash.
It happened on Boig Road near New Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, at about 6pm on Tuesday after the crash between a Peugeot 208 and a Nissan Qashqai.
Lewis Campbell, 15, from Cumnock, was a passenger in the Peugeot car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five teenagers and a woman were taken to the University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock following the collision.
They included an 18-year-old male driver of the Peugeot, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man who, along with the crash victim, were passengers.
A girl aged 13 and a boy aged 15 were passengers in the Nissan Qashqai and the 54-year-old woman was the driver.

Road Policing Inspector Craig Beaver said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Lewis at this very difficult time. Officers will continue to offer support as our enquiries continue into the circumstances of the crash.
‘To allow us to establish exactly what happened, I’m appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
‘Perhaps you were on the road and saw the cars prior to the crash? Do you have dashcam footage of the area around the time?’
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them and the road remains closed.
