Israeli troops massing at Gaza border ‘ready to execute the mission’
The Israeli military says hundreds of thousands of troops are near the Gaza border “ready to execute the mission we have been given.”
It is expected that Israel will soon launch a ground offensive on the Gaza Strip, one whose mission is to “make sure Hamas won’t have any military capabilities.”
The death toll in Israel has reached 1,200 – while more than 900 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
Earlier this week, Israel announced a “siege” of Gaza – cutting its supplies of electricity, fuel and water. The head of the Palestinian Energy Authority says Gaza’s only power station will run out of fuel today.
Meanwhile, Israel has also launched an attack on Lebanese territory in response to an attack from Hezbollah.
