Manchester United’s players ‘are not having’ Erik ten Hag and were ‘disgusted’ by the way he treated Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Alan Brazil.

The Dutchman has come under fire after United’s poor start to the new season in which they’ve lost six of their 11 games in all competitions so far.

Ten Hag has also faced a problem with Jadon Sancho after publicly criticising the winger’s effort levels in training following United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last month.

Sancho accused Ten Hag of making him a ‘scapegoat’ and has subsequently been frozen out of the first-team squad by the United manager.

TalkSPORT radio host Brazil claims some members of United’s squad are unhappy with Ten Hag’s management and are privately disputing the Dutchman’s assessment of Sancho in training.

‘Do you know what I was hearing, and you’ve got to be careful what you report on but this is what I’ve heard from a United player who told someone we know very well,’ Brazil said during his talkSPORT show on Wednesday morning.

‘He said the players are not having the manager. They’re not having him, definitely not.

‘By all accounts, they’re disgusted the way that he treated Cristiano and they say Sancho is a great guy who works his socks off.

‘He said the players are not having him.’
