Manchester United face a ‘race against time’ to offload outcast Donny van de Beek, according to reports.
The Red Devils are desperate to sell the midfielder who has been told by Erik ten Hag that he is unlikely to play any kid of role for United this season.
That’s according to ESPN, who report that United will consider ‘any offer’ for the 26-year-old Dutchman.
While the Premier League summer transfer window is closed, clubs in Turkey can still sign players up to September 15 and Van de Beek is said to have attracted interest from Fenerbahce and Galatasaray with United hoping to secure a sale.
Van de Beek has made 60 appearances for United after he arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax three years ago but has found his opportunities increasingly reduced since Ten Hag became manager.
He was recently left out of United’s Champions League squad and is believed to be at risk of being omitted from their 25-man Premier League squad when it is announced on September 13.
Van de Beek has tumbled down the pecking order at Old Trafford – even more so following the summer arrivals of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat.
