Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver has issued a warning to fans after being targeted by scammers selling weight loss gummies.
The actress, who is best known to Corrie fans for her role as Eileen Grimshaw, posted a video to her 174,000 Instagram followers setting the record straight, making it crystal clear that she does not condone the use of ‘keytone gummies’.
She explained that she was ‘really sad’ to have to make the video, but had received numerous messages asking her about the gummies she had used to help her lose weight, after being featured in an advert created by scammers.
‘I just want you to know that I would never, ever, EVER advocate anything like that,’ she said, and revealed her fury at being used by scammers to defraud other people.
She revealed that her weight loss actually came about after cutting out alcohol and her stint in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

‘Yes, I have lost weight this year,’ she continued, ‘but not from any diet.
‘I had some women’s health issues and I lost quite a lot of weight. Too much weight. I look shocking at the minute, and I’m actually trying to put on weight.’
She went on to explain that her health problems have been dealt with and she is now doing fine, and left her followers with an important message.
