Who says romance was dead?
This is the, urm unique, moment that Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) sees a watermelon to woo back his ex Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) in Hollyoaks.
Things have been turbulent between the couple over the last few weeks, with Cindy set to discover that he went to a strip club and calling time on their relationship.
Previously, when he delivers a package to her, they get close, but Cindy questions whether his feelings for her are genuine.
However he takes her for a breakfast date and all is going well – until a strip club card falls out.

Cindy is disgusted and calls time on things right away, leaving the relationship in tatters.
Dave is regretful, and feels there’s no way back, but when Cindy is reminded that Luke wanted her to be happy, it gets her to thinking.
Thawing slightly, it might not be as over as Dave fears.
Talking previously about a romance with Dave, Steph Waring previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think Cindy and Dave together is really interesting they are both kind of lost souls who have just connected, I have really enjoyed working with Dom he brings a new energy which I really like.

Remembering that Cindy’s favourite film is Dirty Dancing (she’s got taste), he decides the best way to win her heart is to give her a watermelon.
For those who don’t know, the watermelon is a symbol for sexual innuendo, and a moment in the movie sees Baby carry a watermelon to symbolise her journey to womanhood.
Is Dave’s gesture enough to melt her heart? Or is he onto a loser?
