A mother made a grisly discovery in her son’s bedroom – a dead woman’s body wrapped in plastic.
The mother walked into her son’s room after noticing a ‘distinct gas smell’ at their home in South Los Angeles, officials told Fox 11. She called police to inform them that she found a woman’s body in the bedroom.
Cops arrived at the the home on the 2200 block of Wall Street in South Los Angeles around 11.15am on Sunday, KTLA reported. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Hannah Rachel Collins, 30, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office said on Tuesday. Her cause and manner of death have not yet been disclosed.

A suspect in Collins’ killing has been described by authorities as a 36-year-old man and remains at large. His name has not been released.
The homeowner’s son was no longer in the home when she discovered Collins’ body.
It was not immediately known how long the plastic-wrapped body was left in the room for.
