Britney Spears says she was struck by Victor Wembanyama’s guard

American pop star Britney Spears has said she was “backhanded in the face” by a security guard for an NBA player in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Las Vegas police confirmed they were called to the scene regarding a battery investigation, but no arrests have been made.

Spears took to Instagram to explain the incident. She called it a “traumatic experience” she was not prepared for.

The French basketball player Victor Wembanyama has said he “didn’t see what happened” but that someone was pushed.

Spears said she attempted to get Wembanyama, 19, attention, by tapping him on the shoulder. Whilst Wembanyama claims she “grabbed him from behind.”

A security guard of Wembanyama is then said to have struck her in the face wth the back of his hand, causing her glasses to fall off as she nearly fell to the ground, according to the pop star.
