Unexpected to say the least (pic: Twitch)
Amid all the Twitch drama, a clip of the platform’s CEO Dan Clancy talking about how to get people to pee on you has gone viral.
In March, Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear made the decision to step down as CEO, handing over the reins to then-president Dan Clancy.
Since taking on the role, Clancy has been actively engaged with some of the platform’s top creators, often interacting with them and even streaming on Twitch himself.
Despite his influential position, he frequently shows off an eccentric side of his personality, whether he’s belting out karaoke or talking about… urination fetishes.
In May, Clancy made a guest appearance on JoJoThaMoFo’s comedy show, Bad Advice, during which streamer ImDontai asked Clany for advice on how to convince his wife to pee on him.
Jokingly, Clancy replied he had a clever tip. According to him, you should initially suggest something completely outrageous and then aim for a compromise afterwards.
‘You gotta make it worse so that the compromise is just peeing on your leg. If you go for peeing in the mouth and she says absolutely not, you say ‘Well in that case, what about my leg?’ Clancy said.
When streamer ImDontai asked how to move things up to the chest, Clancy casually responded: ‘The chest is better than the mouth, isn’t it?’
As implied by the show’s name, Bad Advice, the exchange between Clancy and the two streamers was likely intended as a joke. However, not all Twitch viewers found their conversation funny once it went viral on social media.
‘I was hoping this was AI,’ wrote one person on Twitter, while another declared that they’ve had ‘enough internet’ for today.
‘With the way Twitch is going lately, sad to say I’m not surprised,’ another user said.
Just recently, Twitch dropped some new guidelines for branded content on its platform, putting strict limitations on sponsored streams.
This move has triggered multiple big-name streamers to threaten to leave the platform, but it remains to be seen if they will follow through.
