Molly Marsh isn’t the first Islander to have a famous parent (Picture: Instagram)
Love Island is back on our screens – which brings a new batch of singletons looking for love.
One of them is Molly Marsh, who’s already made headlines thanks to a famous family connection.
The musical theatre performer’s mum Janet Marsh has, in fact, walked the Coronation Street cobbles, so perhaps she’ll have some fun anecdotes for us as the series progresses?
Although, Molly is far from the first Islander with a famous parent.
Last summer, Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma Owen finished in second place, while Ronan Keating’s son Jack Keating entered as a Casa Amor bombshell.
Of course, Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani Dyer was also catapulted to fame when she won the dating show in 2018.
So, as we gear up for our Love Island summer fix, let’s delve into Molly’s family tree…

The actress has actually played three roles in Corrie.
She’s portrayed a nurse, a receptionist, and an ITU nurse on the show.
And her acting experience doesn’t end there, as Janet has also played parts on shows including Still Open All Hours, Where The Heart Is, Bodies, and In The Dark.
Speaking ahead of her entrance into the Love Island villa, Molly shared how excited her mum is for her.
The 24-year-old was asked whether her mum had given her any tips about dealing with the cameras.

Molly said in a press conference that Janet is ‘very open to the opportunities’ but hadn’t given her any specific tips.
‘We already have been very big fans of the show,’ she added, saying they would ‘all sit together every time Love Island’s on’ and speculate over who Molly would couple up with.
‘They know how the show works and what it entails.
