As members of the Writers Guild of America go on strike over pay conditions, one person has got plenty of attention after displaying a sign threatening to ruin Succession.
After walking out and hitting the streets in Los Angeles and New York City on Tuesday, writers have been refusing to work after failing to negotiate increased salaries.
The first writers’ strike, and the first Hollywood strike in 15 years, it has left many American chat shows in limbo.
So far these have included The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Daily Show, while Saturday Night Live has also been pulled off the schedule.
Many people striking have got creative with their signs, with notable ones including ‘This will NOT be The Last of Us’, ‘Here’s Looking at You Kid was NOT written by a producer’ and ‘I’d rather be writing your favourite show’.
However, one seemed to stand out from the crowd, with someone in NYC vowing: ‘Fair contract or we spoil Succession’.

The threat may be too much to handle for fans of the dark comedy-drama, after recent weeks of bombshells on the beloved series.
As the final season comes to a close, the shock death of Logan Roy (Brian Cox) was a shocking twist for many.
In the third episode of season three, the business titan died onboard his private jet, leaving some viewers to declare they were ‘crying’ over his demise.
After the fact, writer and co-executive producer Georgia Pritchett revealed that the team had worked so hard to avoid the spoiler being leaked that they devised a method to keep things under wraps.
‘So nobody found out. We used code on the whiteboards. Larry David meant Logan Dies. So episode 403 said Connor’s Wedding, Larry David. Mind you, that would also have been a great episode,’ she wrote on Twitter.

With just four episodes to go before the series wraps up for good, there’s likely to be many more explosive scenes, most of which viewers will likely want to avoid knowing about in advance.
There has been plenty of support for the strike, with Meyers using time in his episode of Late Night on Monday to label the salary increase ‘a reasonable demand.’
He said: ‘I love writing. I love writing for TV. I love writing this show. I love that we get to come in with an idea for what we want to do every day and we get to work on it all afternoon and then I have the pleasure of coming out here.

‘No one is entitled to a job in show business. But for those people who have a job, they are entitled to fair compensation. They are entitled to make a living. I think it’s a very reasonable demand that’s being set out by the guild. And I support those demands.’
Echoing Meyer’s sentiment, Fallon told Variety at the Met Gala: ‘I wouldn’t have a show if it wasn’t for my writers, and I support them all the way.’
Succession continues on Monday on Now and Sky Atlantic in the UK and HBO in the US.
