Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sales down 35% on Fallen Order – Games charts 29 April

The new Star Wars game is number one in the UK but it doesn’t seem to have done quite as well as its predecessor, unlike Dead Island 2.

It was always going to be number one but it’s difficult to say exactly how well Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has done based on its physical sales, which dropped by 35% from 2019’s Fallen Order.

Each year digital sales take a larger slice of the pie but we’re at a point now where it’s no longer increasing quite so rapidly, which makes it likely that there has been an overall fall in sales for the sequel.

Whether or not the controversy over the game’s bugs played a part is unclear but one sequel that has done well is Dead Island 2, which saw only a 45% drop from its debut week – which is well above average.
