Lana Del Rey has been announced as the final headliner for the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park this year completing what is a truly star-studded line-up.
The American singer-songwriter, 37, will close the festival on Sunday, July 9, with special guests still to be officially confirmed.
Lana joins the line-up for the festival’s 10th anniversary, which already includes Pink, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Guns N’ Roses.
Since the release of her debut album in 2012, titled Born to Die, Lana has produced a string of chart-topping and award-winning singles and albums.
Her latest studio album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, released earlier this year, and hit number one on the UK album charts in March.
Since her first single Video Games reached the top 10 on the UK singles chart, Lana has released four further top 10 singles, including Summertime Sadness.

She has also produced six UK number one albums in total, with only 2015’s Honeymoon, 2020’s poetry album Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, and 2021’s Blue Banisters not making the top spot.
Her headline performance at BST Hyde Park will be one of the first times she has played the album’s songs live, having not performed live since October 2021.
Lana has previously performed at the biggest festivals across the world, including Coachella and Lollapalooza, as well as Spanish festival Benicàssim.

Earlier this year, the Video Games singer hit out at Glastonbury over its all-male headline line-up for 2023, which has been criticised for a lack of diversity.
Speaking of the line-up, fronted by Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, and Guns ‘N’ Roses, Lana is reported to said ‘we’ll see’ when asked if she was performing at the festival.
Lana had been announced as headlining the Other Stage but is said to have taken umbrage at being placed so low down the list of acts playing the festival.

Earlier this year, Lana’s dad, Rob Grant, released an album of his own music after having become ‘an accidental musician’.
The album, Lost at Sea, contained a mixture of modern classical pieces and piano compositions.
