Another famous face has been added to the Only Murders In The Building cast as Jesse Williams has joined the fold ahead of season three.

Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short have delighted fans with the offbeat comedy, which follows three inquisitive residents at the Arconia, a prestigious New York building, as they attempt to solve crimes.

A string of stars have gone up against the trio, including Sting and Amy Schumer – who have played themselves – while Cara Delevingne, Tina Fey, Michael Rapaport and Jane Lynch starred as fictional characters.

After the bombshell cliffhanger in season two saw Paul Rudd making his debut before instantly dying, all eyes have been on who else would be confirmed for a role.

According to Deadline, Jesse Williams has been cast in a recurring role as a mysterious documentarian who has developed an interest in a case that Mabel Mora (Selena), Oliver Putnam (Martin) and Charles Haden-Savage (Steve) are working on.

Little else is known about the Grey’s Anatomy alum’s character and how he could link to the trio, but we’re already suspicious…

Only Murders In The Building has been home to some epic star turns over the last two seasons, and fans are already expecting big things from the third series.

In the final moments of the recent finale, we were briefly introduced to Ben Glenroy – played by Paul – after he had nabbed a starring role in Oliver’s new play, alongside Charles.

While it was instantly clear that Ben and Charles were not getting along, nothing could have prepared us for a very dramatic twist, when the newbie suddenly dropped dead as the curtain lifted.

All eyes will no doubt be on the OMITB gang as they find themselves uncomfortably close to yet another murder.

Although he met a very sticky ending just seconds into his appearance, series co-creator John Hoffman confirmed that Paul will be a prominent part of the upcoming episodes.

A statement shared with Variety read: ‘Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!’

Only Murders in the Building is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
