President Joe Biden received an updated coronavirus vaccine booster before the public eye while urging Americans to get the shot ‘once a year’ moving forward.
Biden on Tuesday afternoon rolled up his left shirt sleeve for the updated booster, which is designed to protect against the original Covid-19 strain, the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants and serious death related to the virus.
‘Now I’ll show you just how easy it is to get that shot,’ said Biden as a nurse injected him.
It is part of the White House’s effort to encourage Americans to get updated boosters to prevent another possible rise in Covid-19 cases this winter.

‘If you’re fully vaccinated, get one more Covid shot, once a year. That’s it,’ Biden said.
‘For most Americans, one Covid shot each year is all they need. If you get it you’re protected. And if you don’t, you’re putting yourself and other people at risk.’
Biden said Americans ‘have a choice to make’.
‘We can repeat last winter, more loved ones getting sick, or we can have a much better winter if we all use the tools we have available. Let’s start with Covid updates.’
