Jamie Carragher’s remarkable response after Richarlison tells him to “wash his mouth”
Daily Mirror says Jamie Carragher has offered an eye-raising response after being told to ‘wash his mouth’ by Everton star Richarlison.
The Liverpool legend was the subject of a scathing attack on Twitter in the aftermath of the Toffees’ superb comeback victory over Crystal Palace on Thursday, winning 3-2 at a rocking Goodison Park to secure Premier League safety.
Following long-running criticism from Carragher regarding his on-pitch theatrics which infuriate opponents, the Brazilian tweeted in the early hours of Friday morning: “Wash your mouth before you talk about me and Everton and I don’t respect you.” Richarlison was met with a response shortly after 9am, as the ex-Liverpool defender – who started out at Goodison during his youth – praised him for biting back.
