Gareth Southgate snubs three Man Utd stars in latest England squad
The Metro says Gareth Southgate has axed Jadon Sancho from his latest England squad and resisted the temptation to recall Mason Greenwood despite his impressive form this season.
While Marcus Rashford earned a recall following his return to fitness, there was no place for another Manchester United player who has been on the periphery of late at Old Trafford in Jesse Lingard.
Greenwood hadn’t been part of the England squads that convened for the World Cup qualifiers in September and October, despite his impressive club form, and has again been overlooked.
