Jennifer Arcuri says Boris Johnson’s staff ‘knew he had a crush on me’
The Metro says Boris Johnson’s ex-mistress Jennifer Arcuri said yesterday it was obvious he had a ‘crush’ on her when he was London mayor, during which time she was given £126,000 in public funds.
The prime minister avoided a criminal investigation after a police watchdog found no evidence that he had influenced the payment of thousands of pounds of public money to Ms Arcuri or secured her presence on foreign trade trips.
But the Independent Office for Police Conduct said it ‘would have been wise’ had he declared their ‘close association’.
