Niall Horan on Elton’s advise, new album and 1D
BBC News reports Niall Horan opens up about his new album, One Direction and advise from Sir Elton.
His new album – Heartbreak Weather – was inspired by a break-up but the star was determined not to make it a downer.
“I was just like, ‘Come on, have a laugh, you can’t go around moping,” says the 26-year-old. “And it turned out to be the most fun I’ve ever had in the studio. A really fun year.
“And,” he adds, “I’m gonna have so much fun doing the shows.”
The 26-year-old is not a tortured musician making music about depression, but an outsider affable and charming.

Kendrick Lamar named as third Glastonbury headliner
Music-News says rapper Kendrick Lamar will join Sir Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift at Glastonbury is festival bosses can avoid a coronavirus cancellation.
Lamar has been added as the festival’s third headliners, while Dua Lipa the Pet Shop Boys, Sinead O’Conner, the Manic Street Preachers, Happy Mondays and Mabel named as performers.
The 50th anniversary of the legendary festival will also see Diana Ross, Lana Del Ray and Supergrass performing in June.

Corey Feldman’s film on Hollywood paedophilia accuses Charlie Sheen of rape
WTX News says in his new documentary (My) Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys, Corey Feldmans film named those, he says, sexually assaulted him and friend Corey Haim when they were child stars.
Among the names, Feldman alleged Haim had told him, actor, Charlie Sheen raped him while making the 1986 Steven Spielberg film’s ‘Lucas Productions’.
Charlie Sheen has in the past denied ever engaging in improper behaviour with Haim.
“He told me, ‘Charlie bent me over between two trailers and put Crisco oil on my butt and raped me in broad daylight. Anybody could have walked by, anybody could have seen it.”

Great British Bake Off: Matt Lucas confirmed as a new host
Sky News says Matt Lucas will be joining Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood in the famous Bake Off tent.
Matt will be replacing Sandi Toksvig who announced in January she would be stepping down after three years.
“I’m chuffed to bits to be joining the most delicious show on television,” Lucas said in a statement sent to Sky News.
“I can’t wait to break bread with Noel, Prue and Paul and meet the brilliant bakers. And bearing in mind my love of cake, I’ve already ordered some much larger trousers in anticipation. See you in the tent!”

Tom Hanks and wife Rita have coronavirus
France24 says Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, have both tested positive for coronavirus in Australia, the actor said on Twitter.
Hanks said he and Wilson, both aged 63, were tested in Australia, where he is working on a film after they felt tired and achy with slight fevers.
“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus and were found to be positive,” Hanks said in the tweet.
“Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated,” Hanks tweeted.

Harvey Weinstein gets 23 years!
WTX News says the former King of Hollywood, film producer Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault.
Weinstein was found guilty in a New York trial last month and the 67-year-old appeared in court on Wednesday in a wheelchair.
His lawyers had appealed for leniency, wanting the minimum sentence of five years, claiming it to be a “life sentence” for Weinstein. But prosecutors argued Weinstein should be given the maximum sentence given his “lifetime of abuse” towards women and “lack of remorse” for his actions.
