More than two million people in the UK now have long Covid – with women and older people at higher risk

The i says more than two million people in the UK have long Covid at the moment – suggesting that over a third of those that have caught the virus still have symptoms, according to a new study.

Women are at higher risk than men, as are those who were hospitalised by Covid and health and care home workers.
