Roman Protasevich: Belarus journalist in ‘hostage’ video
The Belarusian journalist, who was arrested after his Ryanair plane was forced to land in Minsk, appeared on state TV in a tearful interview that supporters say was conducted under duress.
Roman Protasevich looked uncomfortable in the video confessed to calling for protests last year and praised Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
The interview lasted for an hour and a half, at the end the journalist began crying and covered his face with his hands.
