Bella Hadid marches to Free Palestine, after tearful post – ‘deep sense of pain’

Supermodel Bella Hadid showed her support for Palestine after she joined a massive protest in New York following a week of intense violence between Israel and Palestine.

The 24-year-old, whose father is from Palestine, took to social media to post pictures taken from the protest.

In the post, Bella is seen wearing a mask as she joined the crowds in New York with protesters carrying signs and the Palestinian flag.

New York’s march was one of several Free Palestine rallies that happened around the globe following this week’s unrest.

She wrote: “The way my heart feels.. To be around this many beautiful, smart, respectful, loving, kind and generous Palestinians all in one place… it feels whole ! We are a rare breed!! It’s free Palestine til Palestine is free!!! P.s. The Palestinian drip is real #FreePalestine.”

Bella’s fans showed their support for the movement and praised her for using her platform to educate her fans and followers.

Her post came shortly after Bella shared a tearful Instagram post as she talked about her ‘deep sense of pain’ for the events taking place.

“I feel a deep sense of pain for Palestine and for my Palestinian brothers and sisters today and everyday. watching these videos physically breaks my heart into 100 different pieces,” she wrote at the time.

Bella added: “You cannot allow yourself to be desensitized to watching human life being taken. You just can’t. Palestinian lives are the lives that will help change the world. And they are being taken from us by the second. #FreePalestine.”

There have been rallies and protests taking place around the world this week after the conflict erupted between Israel and Gaza.

So far, at least 148 people have been killed in Gaza – including 41 children and the violence doesn’t appear to be stalling.

Other celebrities have also weighed in on the recent conflict, including Zayn Malik, Susan Sarandon, Rihanna, Mark Ruffalo and Paris Hilton.
