Williamsburg hotels are the heart of hipster

It doesn’t get much more hipster than the heart of Williamsburg, a neighbourhood known for its vibrant arts scene and eclectic boutiques. Williamsburg hotels represent everything cool, artistic and creative.

Housed in a meticulously restored 1901 factory, the Wythe Hotel has an industrial-chic charm. Its design features exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and expansive windows that offer panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.

There are 70 uniquely designed rooms, each reflecting the building’s industrial heritage. Standard rooms start at a generous 250 square feet (big for NYC), boasting 13-foot-high ceilings and large windows equipped with blackout blinds. Some of the rooms feature floor-to-ceiling views of Manhattan, whilst the bathrooms are adorned with white tiles, vintage mirrors, and rain head showers.

In true hipster fashion, the amenities are eco-friendly and include locally made Goldie’s bath products and denim robes.

It’s a fairly expensive stay, but you do get a truly cool experience with unique and thoughtful touches.

Expect to spend around $300 (£222) in the low season and as much as $575 (£425) in the high season.

By far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in … Absolutely stunning views of Manhattan, very spacious king size rooms with wonderful imported bath products. Ate dinner at on site restaurant Le Crocodile and had drinks at 6th Floor bar at sunset with stunning views.

    The Ludlow Hotel

Location: 180 Ludlow Street, Lower East Side, New York, NY 10002.

Lower East Side boutique hotels are surrounded by vintage shops

Nestled in the hipster area of Lower East Side, The Ludlow hotel, with its cool aesthetics, is surrounded by trendy bars and vintage shops. Lower East Side boutique hotels are worth a stay if fashion – and shopping – are key to your trip. You’ll be in the heart of vintage and independent stores.

As you walk into the Lobby Bar, you’ll be welcomed to a cozy living room, featuring eclectic interior design marked by wood accents, painted brick walls and a limestone fireplace.

The hotel offers a variety of rooms from mini rooms for the solo adventurer to spacious lofts – and even a penthouse suite, if you’re willing to part with the cash. Rooms have dark wood two-poster spindle beds dressed in Bellino monogrammed linens and floral drapes framing tall, factory-inspired windows that offer sweeping city views. Bathrooms feature Carrera marble, gleaming white tiles, rain showers, and soaking tubs, providing a luxurious retreat within the bustling city.

It’s another high-end stay – it’ll cost a pretty penny! Double rooms start from $289 (£235) in the low season and can go up to $576 (£468) in the high season.

Beautiful hotel with great attention to details. Loved all the little touches from the garden to the embroidery on the towels and sheets.

    Ace Hotel New York

Location: 20 West 29th Street, NoMad, New York, NY 10001.

Trendy NoMad accommodations close to Manhattan

NoMad is known for being trendy, high-energy, and cool. It’s located centrally with easy access to various Manhattan attractions.

The Ace Hotel New York is one of a few trendy NoMad accommodations to consider. Its dimly lit lobby serves as a social hub for creative folk, where you can mingle with like-minded people. The space is designed to foster a sense of community, making it a spot for both locals and travellers.

Rooms are stylishly minimalistic, featuring glossy wooden floors and unique amenities such as acoustic guitars.

It’s the most expensive option on the list, with rooms starting at around $400 (£292), but prices can vary depending on the season and availability.

The hotel has such a cool, artsy vibe—creative, welcoming, and full of character. Well, we love the hotel itself the staff was also amazing.
